Game Preservation War…Nintendo, Game Mechanics, and the Future of Games

So Nintendo is back in the news for a couple of things. Aside from the ongoing lawsuit they have filed against Pocketpair and their game Palworld, Nintendo is also going at content creators online who emulate their games.

This is also coming on the heels of them opening their new Nintendo Museum in Tokyo, Japan as it looks like they are taking a firm stance on how their games are used and viewed in the world. What are your thoughts? There are a lot people and gamers mad because they believe this to be damaging to video game development and preservation as a whole. Is it?
